Revisiting her roots once again, the designer treads through nostalgic memory lanes of Jaipur, the regal pink city in search of creativity, insight and vision.
Gul Panag, 3 January 1979 born in Chandigarh, India - a Bollywood actress, model, and former beauty queen who competed in the Miss Universe pageant.
Her films include Dor, Manorama Six Feet Under, Hello, and Straight Anubhav & Rann etc. Having won the coveted Miss India title in 1999, and was crowned Miss Beautiful Smile at the same pageant. Her career in movies, with the film Dhoop. Since then, she has worked in many films and the TV series Kashmeer-(STAR Plus)(her acting debut with this beautiful series directed by veteran Suhail Tatari, and in her very first project stole hearts and won herself a Best Actress nomination). Kisme Kitna Hai Dum - A fun show with Karaoke as its theme, it saw Gul taking up for all the boys on the show. Musafir Hoon Yaron (A keen traveler herself, Gul simply could not resist the temptation of being a part of a Travel show - Star Plus),Khoobsoorat (hosting beauty and life style show;Zee TV) , Having received widespread acclaim for her astute assaying of the role of Zeenat Fatima in the 2006 Nagesh Kukunoor film, Dor(Screen Award for Best Actress In A Supporting Role). The 2007 film, Manorama Six Feet Under, inspired by Film Chinatown, earned her good reviews. In 2008, she acted in the films Hello (Stardust Award for Best Actress In A Supporting Role) and Summer 2007. 2009 lineup included the movies Straight and A Rectangular Love Story She recently featured in Rann in an insignificant role. Gul appeared on the front page of Maxim Magazine - a major photoshoot in Sep 2008. 'Won Zee Cine Critics Award - for Best Actress. As should not be a surprise to anyone, Gul has been a highly successful model, appearing in numerous ads in the TV and print media over the past decade or so (Most notably - The Titan Raga watches ads, and most recently in the Tata Sky ads along with Aamir Khan). Gul is the brand ambassador for Tata Sky, along with Aamir Khan.
A highly techno-savvy lady, with strong and interesting views on most subjects. She is highly active on Twitter, and has a huge base of followers on the same.
