Posted in

Karthik Calling Karthik is a psychological thriller, directed by Vijay Lalwani. The movie is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banner Excel Entertainment and is all set to release on February 26th.

There's a lot of expectations from this movie as this is the first time the audience will see Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone in a new light. In the movie Farhan plays the role of a pessimistic introvert called "Karthik"whose life changes with the help of someone who also claims to be Karthik. It is a journey of this man's victory against all odds. Deepika Padukone plays a pivotal role in the film.

According to the media, Farhan to get into the skin of the character, isolated himself from his friends and family and also switched off his cell phone. He also learned to solve the Rubik's cube, an activity which his character completes in only one try.

Farhan in an interview said "It was the nature of the character I was playing; he’s someone who’s lost in his own world, due to which I had to disconnect myself from the world. I made an effort to isolate myself from everyone. It’s just for the sake of my character; if you want to call it method acting, so be it"

Farhan is in quite an awe about the chemistry between him and Deepika in the movie. Deepika when asked about her role said "My role is quite bold and optimistic as opposed to Farhan’s pessimistic one." Deepika had undergone a lot of changes too, for instance she changed her hairstyle and the audience will see her having shoulder length hair in the movie.

Now coming to the music of the film, it's getting quite a buzz already. The music of the film is by Shankar Ehsan Loy.The music is peppy and very youth oriented. The lyrics have been penned down by Javed Akhter. The music mingles well with the movie says Shankar Mahadevan.

Enjoy a sneak peak special...

Karthik calling Karthik has a lot of things to look forward to..we wish the entire team good luck.
