Recipe Contest

For the very first time  B'Khush is organizing a recipe contest in association with "The Facebook Cooking Club" and "Food Blogger's Cafe".
 
 
The contest will be open to  US and Canadian residents only.
 

 
 
The Main Ingredient : "Spinach"
We thought of  "Going Green"! 
We will welcome recipes from around the world. So be creative...wear your chef's hat and start cooking! 
 
 
 
Contest Date :   April 20th, 2012 - April 30th, 2012
 
Contest Rules :

  • Interested participants will have to send in their recipes to contest@bkhush.com 
  • The recipes should reach us by April 30th
  • The recipes should include a photo and also a short write up ( Including an introduction,ingredients list,and the process)
  • All participants should have a Facebook profile, because the final voting will be done through Facebook.
  • All participants are requested to "Like" the B'Khush page on Facebook. The top ten selected entries will be announced on Facebook

 
 The judging criterion will be based on (0-5 points for each criterion)
 
a) Originality of the recipe
b) How uniquely it showcases the theme
c) Novelty of any technique used (bonus points)
d) Local and sustainability of the ingredients
e) how well written.
f) Food presentation and style
g) Photography
 
 
Judging starts on May 1st,2012
The judges will evaluate and select TEN recipes from the entries received.
The selected recipes  will be put up on the facebook page of B khush and open to voting for the next 5 days
The Winner and the First and Second runners up will be announced  on May 10th,2012 based on the 'likes' they get on Facebook.

The new recipe contest

As I am keenly interested in cooking, it seems strange that the contest is restricted within USA and Canada. In this age of globalisation, there can be no excuse for this decision, everything is within our reach. The concept of website is global where u r talking about contest. So what is restricting u? Money for posting prizes? U see u have to bear that, because your website is global, otherwise u must arrange the contest in your own locality and not on a website.

I would like to know if the recipes can be from Archives (I own a food blog). Also is there any restrictions on the number of recipes that can be submitted by each person? Would love to participate. Please let me know.
